The Mystery of the Palomar Lights

This one is unusual

I’ve been working on a comic book documentary, and because it’s now in reasonable shape, I’ve decided to publish. The project got started as I was exploring how I could use AI to explore new formats for stories I want to tell. I had used AI in research, programming, data pipelines, but I hadn’t yet seriously investigated images. Can they open up avenues to tell stories in a new engaging way?

The comic, “Palomar Lights” tells a true, and very strange story: have astronomers detected the remnants of something floating in earth’s orbit?
